“Start by doing what is necessary; then do what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” St. Francis of Assisi
When change is staring us square in the present, many, myself included take the phrase, “begin with the end in mind” very seriously. Getting to “wow” is a great ending to strive for. Wow in a general definition stands for a sensational success. Who wouldn’t want that? With all the change taking place in every part of our lives, now is the time to plan, execute and end at destination “wow”.
The energies of the last days of August will bring out your intuition and ideas that will get everyone to the “wow” that has been sitting on the sidelines waiting to be invited into our daily lives. It is a supportive energy that will help you dream your world into being! “Business as usual” will not get anyone to “wow”. It is time to dive into the unusual, do something different and look at things from another angle.
When you see the new angle and can feel the “wow” ending, the only question many are wondering, again, including myself is “how”. Teachers of Metaphysical-Positive Thought will tell you not to worry about the how and everything will begin to line up. I believe that totally, and I also believe that following St. Francis’s advice is good too. Always, hold in focus the “wow” ending; but start with what is necessary.
Have you heard the phrase I wish I could be in two places at one time”? It might be the go to phrase that we say when we are too busy juggling life, but we all know we can only be present in one place at a time. Right now many people are trying very hard to be two or more people; the one who wants to be the new and next version of themselves, the one who wants the version that is chugging along seemingly comfortable in “business as usual”, or the one who is tap dancing in circles trying to strike a balance, searching for the way out of the elevator to “wow”. The bad news is that you can only choose one!
By taking the approach of starting with what is necessary, sliding into doing what is possible and realizing you are doing what you thought was impossible is a great strategy toward your next “wow”. Change can control you or you can control change. The only real way to “wow” is for you to take charge.
We all want to make our lives the best it can be. Whatever changes you make to your environment, changes in your home, your body, or your community, no matter how small, you are raising the bar. Change can control you or you can control change. The only real way to “wow” is for you to take charge.
I was riding with my husband over the weekend. His playlist of music is very diverse to say the least. I was thinking about this blog as the next song started. I realized it was country, not my favorite, but I had to smile when it was George Straight. I got the message loud and clear from the icon of Country Music. “There is a difference in living and living well.”
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
Love to all,
Cindi
