Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear! This is really good advice while Mercury, our conscious awareness and our Emotional Intelligence, is directing us toward situations in our lives that we are looking to for clarity. During June/July 2020, the planet placements are pointing us toward an inward focus and major self-care when possible.
Describing the June/July 2020 Mercury Retrograde as a walk down memory lane last week is proving to be an understatement. I believe it will turn out to feel like a full length marathon!
Everyone has situations in their life when things are difficult. It can be a work problem, family problem, a global crisis or local, state and global protests. Stories of our past are surfacing faster then we can recognize them. Some are unpleasant and feel bad or hurtful and some are good memories that no one seems to want to hear. Trying to avoid any conversation about the problems we are facing as a collective will never be a good answer. However, when times are so large in scope, we feel powerless to change things. If you are finding yourself feeling the gravity of the heavy swirling energy of change happening on the planet today, remember each individual holds an enormous amount of power and we can help any situation by maintaining our focus and opening to the greatest power, Love. Sounds like a plan, until you actually try to focus!
Holding internally uncomfortable feelings, shutting down from verbally expressing feelings, or feeling like you are going to ridiculed for our opinion because of whom you are or where you came from will cause health problems! Much less stop you from focusing. The moment the feeling of angst, resistance, anger or any other lower vibration you are experiencing is realized, you can either choose to stay entrenched or choose to move in a different direction cutting away energetically from the lower vibe.
If you are searching for a way to stop and shift rather than reacting in a usual way, Ho’oponopono is a wonderful answer.
Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian spiritual practice. In 1980 Morrnah Simeona after many years of dedication and teaching introduced the ancient Hawaiian healing practice at the Huna Convention in Hawaii. Dr. Hew Len, a student of Morrnah’s shared how he used Ho’oponopono to heal a prison ward of the worst, mentally disturbed criminals. His story and recognition of success has been taught around the world. I hope you read it!
Ho’opononpono is used to solve problems and conflict. Not by slinging it out with others, instead by clearing on an individual personal level. The aim is never to “fix” another person or situation, rather the focus is on healing you. With persistence, the clearing then allows you to freely look at the world without past judgment and bias of old stories carried forth from generations. Basically by clearing, you and your linage, you are allowing the removal of stresses and struggles of life to flow out of your body and to look at the world in a clearer view. Best explained in the words of Morrnah:
“We are the sum total of our experiences, which is to say that we are burdened by our pasts. When we experience stress or fear in our lives, if we would look carefully, we would find that the cause is actually a memory. It is the emotions which are tied to these memories which affect us now. The subconscious associates an action or person in the present with something that happened in the past. When this occurs, emotions are activated and stress is produced”, Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona
The process of the Ho’oponopono prayer involves four phrases which can be repeated in any order: **I’m sorry ** Please forgive me **Thank you **I love you. Easy enough, you might be thinking, but Dr. Hew Len explains, “Step one is taking 100% responsibility for your life and everything in it. In this concept there is no, blame, guilt, victim-mentality or any passing the buck to others. You are responsible. This may be challenging to fully take in, but it is the core concept of Ho’oponopono.
It will take an open mind and desire to achieve harmonious relationships between people, nature and Spirit. Whether you have practiced this prayer for years or you are new to the idea, this is not “fast food.” As easy as the prayer might seem, the cleaning of memories requires concentration and persistence, but the results are worth it!
I hope you take time to read more about Ho’oponopono, how it works, and “Zero Limits” which is a book by Dr. Joe Vitale. There is a lot to learn. It can be a powerful tool for the next months and for life.
Love to all,
