“Fall- a time of transition and courage.” D.J.
September 2020 starts off with an optimistic Full Moon on September 2nd leading the way with innovation revealing new solutions to old problems. The numerology of September this year is 4. The number 4 is the number of strength and stability. It represents putting ideas and efforts into shape and places performance and productivity at the forefront. With all this structured energy, there might be a conflict between tension and flexibility. Tension is the feeling of rigidity; relaxation is the feeling of flexibility. Finding the balance between the two will bring deep satisfaction in the accomplishments made during the month of September. “4” also represents breakthroughs complimenting the positive new attitude of the start of the upcoming Fall season.
We are all being asked this month to build something that will not only survive the test of time but will fundamentally alter how we face change and problem solve. This period will prove to be easier than usual for building foundations, finding practical solutions, self-responsibility and of course overall stability to mention a few. And this also can include the building of relationships, physical structures as well as financial security. There will certainly be challenges in all of the above areas, but, when you are facing them, you will recognize some you have seen before giving you an advantage this time to try out a new solution.
For instance, in my life, I just finished a two-week project I enjoyed so much! I supervised 1st grade studies with our grandson. For me and a lot of other supervisors in the short term education field, our participation proved to be a once in a lifetime experience. Just like everything else in 2020, schools are facing a large learning curve as to how to change and provide lessons that will work virtually. With firsthand experience, I can say without a doubt, they are doing an amazing job.
Zoom was the communication we used to participate with the teacher and class. After the first Zoom call I was totally in and couldn’t wait for the second one! Everyone was looking sharp on the call and excited to be there, but it was obvious that the technology experience was not the same for everyone. It was crystal clear that not all participating (meaning supervisors) were having the same experience as me. I could feel tension and the need for flexibility radiating from the iPad. The teacher showed great patience and concealed the tension of having to set up her classroom in a virtual way. She found new solutions to teaching that were fun, challenging and interactive that even a grandmother could handle. Extra credit and loud shout outs go to all teachers!
There are so many changes happening that our brains are creating brand new neuro pathways bursting in all directions. New ways of thinking help us create the new foundations that we seek.
Fall represents the return of our kids to a learning environment. It can also be a time to refresh our own!
Love to all,
