The energies of this week focus on communication and expressing your thoughts and ideas to others. Whether you are involved in a project or sharing ideas with family and friends, clear communication creates success. If people are not “getting” what you are trying hard to make them understand, frustration can take over on each side of the conversation. Sometimes taking extreme measures out of frustration becomes the default option in that moment. Using this Nuclear Weapon approach could shake up your life by causing temporary change and creating an explosive story for retelling but will probably leave residue you will not have time or energy to clean up. If you find yourself in a frustrated moment, I hope you STOP, BREATHE, and go back to the basics. What will work when you are not getting the results you are looking for (in this and many other times) is Visualization.
Conscious Visualization is taught and used in different ways to create change. And, without change of some kind, nothing new has an opportunity to materialize. One of the most popular and easy ways to practice visualizing is to close your eyes and form a mental image of something you already know, like a red ball or a different paint color. The next challenge or practice could be forming a mental image of something you have never seen before. A person will make up a scene or describe an object and you form an image of their description in your mind. For bonus points, form and place a mental image of you into the picture admiring the new paint, or you, handling the newly formed object. No matter how many times you have done this work before, practice does make us all better at this!
Conquering the concept of Conscious Visualization is the Secret Sauce in communicating clearly and achieving the results you want. Repetitive message, but truer and important today more than ever before. It is believed that once the image is Visualized clearly, it will begin to Materialize.
There are times when we Subconsciously Visualize “things” or “situations” without realizing the power of our subconscious thoughts. The phrase “things appear out of thin air,” is used when something suddenly materializes that you, your audience, co-workers, or friends were not expecting. Although unexpected, it was created first in thoughts long before the surprise arrival. If it is a pleasant surprise, we are happy and give thanks for the materialization, even if its origin is unclear to us. However, when something unwanted materializes, that is when frustration and the possible Nuclear Weapon choice is contemplated. In that moment (or a little later) think back to where the derailment of thoughts and words could have manifested an unwanted desire. If you give some time to reviewing what happened, chances are an answer will POP into your awareness giving you a chance to change direction and Visualize-Materialize a different “out of thin air” outcome you want.
Replacing one visual with another is the core of the advanced class of visualization. Start small with something in your view every day that you would like to change (lamp, chair, etc.). This is not meant to be a quick process, take your time, and let the picture come to you. If you do not know what to change it to, avoid the frustration and create a blank space until the new picture comes into view. It might not be as instantly gratifying as the Nuclear Weapon approach, but for the sake of less clean up, it will be a better approach for personal visualizations and for clearly expressing your ideas to others!
