Happy Thanksgiving!
I am sending out this message a day early to get ahead of the festivities and to wishing you the gift of joy throughout this holiday weekend. Whether you are celebrating with a big or small gathering, it is time to be thankful for all the wonderful things in our lives.
Last weekend we hosted a neighborhood Friendsgiving. It was a wonderful evening filled with great food, smiles and hugs. The sounds of laughter were palpable throughout our house. Knowing everyone there and knowing how much they all have going on in their lives during this busy time, I was especially grateful for their efforts and their Gratitude Attitude’s they brought to the party. Stepping outside your traditional box even for a few hours can be the best uplift of the upcoming weekend.
This weekend is a perfect time to remember and embrace those who make our lives better. It is also a perfect time (before company arrives) to remember that during the holiday when many are impacted by time crunch, reminders of personal loss, business or personal pressure, it can be easy to slide out of balance. The heaviness of preparing for a holiday meal, decorating, or just staying in, can be lightened by holding on to a Grateful Attitude.
Gratitude is an attitude! It is also a readiness to show appreciation of life itself and everything in it! No matter what emotion you are feeling now, you can likely find something to be grateful for. There is a good reason and an immediate benefit to making the resolution. Affirming there is good in the world radiates a health vibration that surges through our bodies as a recognizable positive feeling. It is hard to miss on a weekend devoted to appreciation!
As we are focusing on appreciation this week into the weekend, there is a reflective energy lingering as the dust from last week’s Eclipse begins to settle. Where the push and pull has been felt most is between the old and the new, the past and the future creating possible internal conflict. If these conflicts surface, find a place to be alone for a short while, regroup and rejoin the gathering with your emotions in a better place. Everyone will benefit!
As I take time to give thanks for the many blessings in my life, expressing gratitude for this opportunity to communicate with you through these blogs is at the top of my list!
May you celebrate with love in your heart, a prosperous vision in your mind and a determination to create a Gratitude Attitude in your being! Happy Turkey Day!
Love to all,
Cindi
