This quote by Proust encompasses the message given during Neptune’s retrograde which begins June 23, 2020 and stays there until November 28, 2020. There are six planets retrograde this month adding to the already eventful cosmic party. Neptune, the ruler of the sea, and is associated with illusion, fantasy, escape and dreams. According to the experts, when Neptune is in retrograde we have a greater ability to see past the illusions that are holding us back.
Perceptions of what others share, well intended or not, will be challenged now.
Our ancestor’s visions and dreams were passed down to us as well as our collective desire to pass along wisdom and advice for the future generations. These visions still have a lot to teach us, however this retrograde puts a large spotlight on “truth vs. unconscious beliefs.” It is up to each of us to use our inner wisdom, our gut to make the distinction.
As old patterns and boundaries are being washed away, it can feel disorienting as we leave the familiar, secure known for unknown potential. Neptune can help release illusions of the past and inspire us to be more imaginative of the future.
Have you been thinking of people who are no long with us on earth? Memories of grandparents, people who you admired, loved and also still possibly some with unresolved issues are showing up to be hugged or cleaned up in some way. If you have this going on (and many are!) take the time to unwind the tapes of past stories and decided which ones are relevant and worth keeping for your life today. Don’t force anything or try to explain your feelings, just relax and allow clarity to preside over the moment and then make a decision to keep or let go.
Another subtle way the past is being brought forward is through movies or books or others stories. I watched the movie/documentary “The Show Must Go On” Queen with Adam Lambert. In some ways it brought me right back to the mid 80’s and then amazingly connected the past to the present with Adam Lambert. Same great songs, seen with and by new eyes! When you find yourself in a back to the future moment, pay attention to what emotions are being brought forward and again keep them or clean it up!
Letting go of should have, would have, could have thoughts is a bonus gift this retrograde offers. There is no time or benefit in dwelling on the past or negative thoughts, specially now.
This journey will take you from illusion to enlightenment.
Actively using your inner inspiration to enhance your external creations, washing away boundaries and opening up to bigger vision and dreams, will take you through this retrograde with eyes wide open and clear vision.
